Your correct. Look what has happened to Colorado. My son lives in Idaho the says it's going on there also. I heard some comments recently that the Dems have Texas targeted as a state to make blue.

I do have a "newby" question, tho: Why do the Chicken places outnumber the Steak places?

I was born and raised in New York State. I moved to Texas when I was 24. I lived there till 2016 and moved to Arizona. Arizona is an excellent state! However, no state can compare with Texas, the GREATEST state in the union>>>period!

Dont bet on it. Trump only won by 9% in 2016 and they have been stacking the blue counties ever since. i was holding my breath that night since only half of registered voters showed up. There isnt a solid red state any more because the red states get complacent and dont bother to vote- but the lefties do go vote. i predict texas to be a blue state in this 2020 election, if not then it will be in 2024. Better be sure to not get complacent in those counties you dont even see a dem sign in- they are nipping at your heels!

Not from Texas, but my mother came from the valley, Edinburgh, and it is my second home, I can tell you about the steak houses! Chicken is a buck a pound! A handful of people like Tyson, Con Ag, and the Koch brothers own all the packing houses for beef! They pay me a buck fifty a pound for my calves which equals $3.00 a pound dressed weight and charge 10 to 20 bucks a pound for the steak. If you notice the Koch brothers were big Republican contribiters till Trump came along talking about doing away with illigal immigration. Every slaughter house in the country is operating on illigal labor. That industry is making more money than Apple. If you think I am wrong, talk to a (IF you can find one) union butcher just ask him! They are putting folks like us out of business quickly. Only thing keeping us going is it takes a long time to teach someone the cow/calf business, you damn near have to be raised in it. Sorry for the political rant but it's the truth. Chicken is cheaper than steak and more people can afford it.....

Have you noticed that you don't have any trouble finding a Taco stand or Mexican Restaurant in your area? There is 2-3 of them per mile in my area.

Texas is where I was born and raised. My wife and kids also, even though my son's just a freshman in high school, not completely done with him yet. This is where I have called home 41 of my 45 years. In 1994 I left to serve with Uncle Sam's Misguided Children. I could not get back here fast enough in 1998. I can say, I've been to the east coast, west coast, and the other side of the world, and this is where I want to be.
