Zero Compromise Elevation adjustment below zero stop

Hi,

I’m transitioning from Kahles to ZC for a 300NM rifle. Ended up going with the ZC 8-40x56 scope. The rifle has a 20MOA rail and I’m using Spuhr mounts with an additional 20MOA forward slant. That’s about 11.1 mils of offset at 100 yards.

With a. Kahles scope, if I needed to drop more than .5 mil below for zeroing I could simply loosen the elevation set screws rotate the elevation knob in the down direction by the desire amount, and retighten.

After reading the instructions from ZC, I still can’t figure it out - even when I unlock the elevation turret and loosen the set screws, I can’t depress elevation below zero stop.

Anyone have experience with this? Any tips?

Thanks in advance!

Interesting, similar system as the Brownells scope
You trying to zero below current zero?

I loosen screws, set dial at 5 mils( or more if you need to go way down), tighten screws so you can dial down without hitting stop.
Zero then loosen screws, set dial to zero and tighten screws.

That scope only has 28 mils total but you should be fine with 40 total moa.
