Zeiss V4 scope

i have a Zeiss V 4 & i have three nightforce scopes & the glass in the zeiss seem to be just as good or better & the V4 is not the top of the line of Zeiss scopes .

Is there a question in there somewhere ?
For long range repeatability in the erector assembly is more important than glass JMHO .

I have 4 of the Zeiss Conquest V4 6-24x on some of the rifles I use and they are run up and down from the zero stop - 200yd zero - then for the 300yd zero for my at home range and then back up to 1000yd zero for competition. Now I am nothing but a duffer in F class competition, but the scopes are always on the dot for zero at whatever range I want to dial it to. So the repeatability in the erector system is as good as any and the glass ain't bad either. So my dropped points (and there are a lot of them!) are my bad wind calls! I do have a Zeiss Conquest V6 5-30x for my main F Open rifle, and it is also undeniably repeatable, but what do I know that rifle is chambered in .30-06. ANY rifle, scope set up and I are not a winning combination but I won't put that on a scope in the quality range that my Zeiss's are.

My V4 is not quite as crisp as my Athlon Midas BTR gen 2. The Athlon is a 4.5-27 and my V4 is 6-24. On a 100 yrd target side by side i can seemingly focus the Athlon better and see the holes more clear. Even in low light they are fairly similar but maybe abit better with the zeiss. Id have to look thru them again sometime. Both were far better than trijicon tenmile of same mag.

Havent played too much with the turretts. I have dialed it up to a mile for my 28 nosler and went back down to zero fine. But havent done many turns often to verify reliability but i dont expect issues

I’m actually here today searching for opinions on the V4 because I’m considering one for a hunting rifle (3-12x44). I have the Cronus in 4.4-27. I also have the Midas Tac in 6-24. The glass in the Midas is better than the Cronus.
