Zeiss 6-24x72

What do you think about this scope ?
Will the weight/objective lens diameter be posetive or negative for accuracy ?

How that is almost as much as my Warner Rifle...geez...I guess if you want to spend as much on the scope as on the rifle that would be your choice.

Shouldn't affect accucracy any as long as you can get a good cheek wield...may take a pad on the cheekpiece.

You could probally shoot very early or late with that size objective though.

I've been behind one and can't say I was impressed. Reticle was oof center,top out of the picture) and resolution was not what I was used to for a Zeiss. Way too over priced and you don't need this size onjective for target/daylight shooting. You can get three Leupold LRT's for that money, or two NightForce BR scopes. Fot this money I would rather get a US-Optics if it were just for the decadence of it

Maybe i should go for the 6-24 x 56 instead. It will be lot cheaper.

It gives plenty of light and is more less aggressive to the pocketbook

I exprience differs, the one I looked through is exceptionally clear, just like any zeiss product. It is a top notch scope, no Leupold or Nightforce come close, not even in the same zip code. It is very sturdy and soild, build like what a tatical scope should be and the weight is not bad, not as heavy as I thought it would be. It would not be something that I put on a target or walking gun but I can picture it on one of long range varmint rig. It is pricy for the average Joe, only LE agency or special force dept may have that kind of budget. If I have the money to burn, I'll buy it in a heart beat.
