I've a Zastava M85 in .223 with a janky barrel. Lucky to hold 2" @ 100 yds with this thing. I'd like to rebarrel it, but my South Bend Heavy 10 doesn't have the gearing for metric threads. It seems M22 x 1.5mm is the receiver threading spec.
I thought about making an adaptor from a bolt, but those don't seem to be readily available, and I'm not sure if that would be the best way to attempt to address an accuracy issue . . . I don't need fine accuracy, but I would like to see 1 MOA upon completion at least. Also thought about re-threading the receiver, but I'm not sure how to best set it up in the lathe for such an undertaking, or what type of jig I could make . . . .
If anyone has addressed a similar or the same issue, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know what your solution was. Thanks.
