Your thoughts on VT N150 & Rl15 Powders

I shoot F/TR with a 223 & 90gr Bergers trying to get a powder that is not sensitive to the hot weather we get somes times it 90deg in sun and powders like VT 550 are not good,
Varget seems okay but pressures are high to get to 2750, Rl 15 is better and N150 better again over 2800fps. I have never tried the N150 in heat whats your thouights on N150

I'm using N150 Paul- and I havn't had any issues shooting side by side with you in the same heat. Then again I'm shooting 185's in the .308, but I havn't seen much temperature sensativity. I think Jerry Tierny ran up againts problesm with N150 and 80's back when they first came out, but he might have been trying to push things too hard.

Out of curiosity, have you tried H4895- just a smidge quicker than Varget, and just as temp stable. I'm also wondering about AR Comp...

Hi Wolfman
I have not tested H4895 with 90gr but it works well with the 80gr bullets
I try and stay away from Doublebase powders I emailed Hodgdons on the AR 223 it is a double base powder

I try to avoid the double based stuff as well, although I'm not terribly anal about it.
