Your thoughts on this aftermarket action.

Full disclosure, I am in no way associated with Stiller.

Stiller is closing out these actions. Found this sale while looking for an action to put a rifle together on.

I have 2 rigs with Stillers and I have zero complaints. I also run rigs with Impact Precision, Defiance, Bat and GA Tempest II and Stillers perform just as good. That’s just my 2 cents based on all my experience.

Things aren't the same since Jerry left. Just my two centavos! I've always been a Stiller fan. You can't beat the price on this!

I had a tac30 that would bind and stiller never returned my calls or answered my emails for help. This was In 2019.

I had a stiller predator in 300WSM that was built by LSR in 2010. I loved that gun. Sold it because I’m a moron.

Yep, same experience I had this past year with a Tac 30. All the Stillers I had in the past were butter smooth.

Over the years I’ve owned 8 Stiller
Actions. Never had a problem.
I’d buy another today, if I were in the market for a good Action.

The only potential issue that I see with that action is the 1.550 diameter as opposed to the 1.350 of the Remington footprint actions. Getting a stock that is wide enough to work without thinning out the sides too much may be a challenge depending on your intended use of the action.

Just chuck it in the lathe and turn it down. Once that's done you can put it in the mill to cut the missing mag well :D

Dunno - their site says they're available in 1.35 diameter as well.

If it was the long action, I would be very tempted.

I don't see much point in a 1.55" short action receiver unless you are trying to make a 40lb Dasher or something.
