Your NRA vote

It's time to vote for your NRA representatives. Here is how I choose folks to vote for: first I vote for folks that I personally know or have had dealings with and feel that they deserve my vote. Then I go through their histories and pick out actual shooters, G-20, P100 and Distinguished shooters. I don't want the NRA to go back to being a Camping and Conservation society like it almost did several years ago. I did vote for "the Gunny and Quigley. Remember these folks have got to be able to attend the NRA meetings. All in all, I voted for folks who will make the NRA in the image of what I want. You, however may feel a wee different; So I urge you to vote. Vote for the folks who will make the NRA what you want it to be.

Just remember, the more people you vote for, the less each of your votes counts. If you want competitive shooters on the board, you are better off voting for one or two of them and no one else. Nothing wrong with Gunny and Quigley, but they don't need your vote. The top 26 out of 36 get elected, and those 2 will be re-elected by a huge margin no matter what you do. The competitive shooters don't have the name recognition of the stars, so it takes dedicated votes for them to have a chance.

I voted for Kussman and Walter, and would recommend that anyone wanting to see real competitive shooters on the board do the same.

Sent mine in yesterday. Some comments on this forum did influence my vote. Also should note that issue of voting for fewer people to make your vote count more toward those you favor.

I have not received my ballot in the mail. Is there anyway to cast a vote through the membership portal?
If you are eligible to vote, your ballot will be in your monthly NRA publication, American Rifleman or American hunter etc. You must be a life member or at least a 5 year member. Me personally, I bought mine just after it went from $75.00 to $100. I paid quarterly on a 2LT pay until I had paid the whole $100.

Thank you. After having membership for 25+ years I let it lapse as I stepped away from shooting/hunting for a bit. I renewed a couple of years back so that explains my absent ballot.
