Your favorite one piece pic rail

I like seekins rails and rings. From what I’ve seen, Long Rifles is now making their own pic bases.

Many very good scope bases. Kinda like the Warne steel bases.
Very low base height (0 moa ).

Hey guys,

Looking for a nice one piece 20 MOA pic rail for my latest build. Rem 700 SA. Possibly looking for one with built in lug that fits inside the loading port. What's your favorite brand? Thanks guys.:D:D

Paul

Near Manufacturing of Canada makes excellent rails, rings, and combo mounts! Rock solid and fits my Rem 700 S/A Sendero 0.308 perfectly.

Stainless steel screws tend to gall when torqued. To prevent galling, you need to use anti-sieze compound. Many people into hot rods use stainless steel hardware only to find out about the galling problem when disassembly was required. I agree with Dusty, no stainless steel screws...
Strength is another factor

Is it more likely to happen with SS screws in a SS action than with SS screws in a steel action? Leupold screws often come with the blue Loctite on them.

FWIW a tech rep at Leupold said he wasn't aware of any galling issues with SS screws.

A shoutout to Leupold customer service for sending out 2 sets of black replacement screws.

No issues encountered when replacing them. The Leupold rep said he wasn't aware of galling issues with SS screws so it must not be all that common. But better safe than sorry I suppose.

Because you asked for an integral lug, you can find no better then NEAR manufacturing
http://nearmfg.com/

I have one for a 700 Rem SA exceptional fits with a small click as it locks into place. You can stay with the standard 6-48 screws, the integral lug takes the recoil force which takes the shearing force (concern) off your screws.

It's hard to do better than Farrell or Murphy. Neither one have ever left a ring mark on any of my scopes.

I never heard of Near, but their stuff looks really nice. I especially like the looks of the alpha mount.
