You thought you had accuracy problems.

I don't get the photo that shows a loaded round fitting into the muzzle??? Should not be possible. I did not read all the posts. Perhaps it is explained later.

Please do take the time to read the whole article.

Monday or Fridays rifle ?

Poor or No quality control.

Oh and your right the rifle should load from the other end. LOL

May explain some of Savages accuracy problems.

A pretty wild story their. But we are only human and weird stuff happens from time to time. If i where reading stories like that more often than not than their would be a serious issue going on and it did get taken care of without a problem. I can't imagine a company pumping out the amount of guns they do in a year and never having to have something fixed or replaced once in awhile.

Dissappointing, as the Savage rimfires are made in Canada at the old Lakefield factory in Ontario, and I am Canadian. They need to better than that.

bahahahaha what the heck? was he sure that was oil and not hydrochloric acid? Looks like they forgot to do a drug test one day at the Savae plant.

I bought 2 of the MarkV's for my 4H shooters - both shot ragged holes at 50 feet with open sights. Hard to believe the same company made this - but as someone else said "we are only human".

I was thinking about buying a 2nd savage rimfire. I already have a 17HMR.

But after seeing what my girlfriend went threw with hers(chamber problems) and this I'm not sure.

After about 6 weeks my girlfriend got a new rifle. Chamber seems to be ok. BUT! the crown still looks like a 12 year old kid cut it. Thats 2 rifles both crowns cut poorly. And its savages most expensive 17HMR. I guess your getting the same cheap barrel weather or not you spend extra money.

For the price of some savages you can get a CZ 452. I think this has my decision made.

DECRYDER,
Ah no! Take a look at the picture of the front of the barrel dated 11/27. You can see a little of the lands and grooves. Some either doesn't know what a "Smooth Bore" looks like or they are putting us on.

They made a smoothbore for .22 shot only.I know for sure that marlin calls it a garden gun exclusivly for .22 shot.Send it back to savage and tell them you want a new barrel with a test target proving it shoots. Something is very fishy here, either he is pulling our leg or savage has made an honest mistake.
