Yep, I'm old and cranky.

My uncle Joe who was only about 5 foot five and not very heavy dragged me into a Western Auto store in the late 70's to look at a Marlin Super Goose gun, a 10 GA bolt action that he was in love with. I told him it would be a nightmare to shoot. Despite the yard long barrel it was not all that heavy but it sure was some kind of ugly. Not too long after that the store was having a closeout sale and he bought it. The manager even threw in a five round box of 3 1/2" ammo. He'd drag it out and show it off to every visitor even if they had no interest in guns or hunting. He tried for over 30 years years to get someone to shoot it but no takers that I'm aware of. They may have buried it with him.

Marlin Super Goose gun, a 10 GA bolt action that he was..... Yes, say it Dave. Looney over that poorly thought out shotgun. I'm not sure which Ct. gun maker. Marlin or Mossberg Too. With detachable magazine on some I believe. the Best use i saw of these shotguns was a pair of 20 ga. jobs, That some good old boys made handguns out of. Mike in Ct. Respect to Dave Berg a giant here . Thanks Dave.

Buy your lady an Sig P365! She'll be glad you did!
I suggest handling a Springfield Hellcat. I have the 365 and had a Glock 43x. The Hellcat is just a wee bit bigger but holds 16 rounds, maybe 17? Gotta recheck it but it’s a heck of a sweet shooter.

Reproduction .45-70 Trapdoor Springfield rifle was the worst kicking thing I'd ever shot and I'm not recoil sensitive. However, there's a limit to what I'll put up with. After 20 to 30 rounds it went down the road. I do like .45-70 so I bought a Win 1885 to replace the trapdoor.
