In May of 2017 I shot the John Granard match and did well, but the guy I was scoring for was not doing so well, he barely broke 100....as we were discussing this, I was told the rifle is junk and will not shoot!
It was announced my firing point was not needed in the pits and there was one open spot in relay 4....no charge to shoot.....I claimed that spot, and asked to shoot this rifle that will not shoot.....I was handed the rifle, 40 rounds of 70's era M2 ball ammo, and told "if you wanna shoot junk, go tight ahaed"
Used the 5 fighters to get a good zero....30 shots later, my score was a 278 5x , that got me a silver metal.....but it took my local club a year and half to get it to me........
