So im in the process of building a 6mm creedmoor off a savage model 11.
This build is mainly for HUNTING purposes, varmints and deer and informal target shooting to 300 yds. max.
8 twist shilen .104" freebore. (on order from NSS)
Question is what bullets in the 70-90 grain range would you recommend?
I was thinking the berger 80 gr or the hornady 87 gr hp for varmints and paper.
The nosler 90 gr bt for deer.
Thanks
Gary

.104 freebore is kinda long for 70g bullets, but you don't know until you try. Hornady 87g BTHP is a good bullet for varmints and the 95g Nosler BT is great for deer. The 100g Hornady btsp and the hornady 105 bthp are also great deer bullets.

I think that you could make your life easy with a choice of two different bullets, either:

105g Berger vld hunging

105g Hornady bthp, check Powder Valley on these, price is great on 500 count, and great deer bullet!

Due to barrel life on the 6 Creed, working up a load for a single bullet will save much barrel life, IF this is a consideration for you...many options.

Good luck!
