XTR IIâ„¢ Riflescope 8-40x50mm for F-Class or FTR?

Does anyone it F-Class or FTR use XTR IIâ„¢ Riflescope 8-40x50mm?

It is 1/2 price of Leupold or the new Nightforce, I thought the reticle is a bit crowded for FTR.

Thanks

First focal plane is tough for F class.

If the NF is too stout, you might look at the Sightron? A lot of people are shooting the Sightron with good results, and I think they are less than the Burris?

EDIT:

I had to go look at that scope as they show an " F Class Reticle " for it. It looks like it has an 1/8 MOA center dot. This is big, but not huge.

As a comparison, my NF with DD2 reticle has a .095, or roughly 3/32 moa, reticle at 40 power.

That said, the rest of the reticle looks like it would make me dizzy.

I use it for F-Class. It has an 1/8th minute dot that stays 1/8th minute, and a zero stop. The Glass quality is on par with the Sightrons. It has a 34mm tube so bigger internal lenses and a lot of travel, but the objective is smaller than the typical f class Sightrons. My wife shoots a SIII 8x32 with the MOA2 reticle. I'm way more comfortable with the Burris because I shoot it more and trust it, but I'm not sure which I would recommend. Hard to beat a Sightron for the money. Even the 10x50 cost less than the Burris.

jrm,

How thick is the stadia? I couldn't find that. I didn't dig too deep.

Extending half minute from the dot they are .02 thick and outside of that, they are .05.

At 40X the reticle isn't nearly as busy as it looks in the images. The window bottoms out at 15.5 minutes on full power so the second horizontal crosshair is not in view. I tried to take a pic but I haven't mastered the through scope pics yet. It's probably not for everyone, but I'm happy.
