XTC NRA Approved High Power Rifle Match at AEDC May 1, 2016

There will be a Highland Rim Shooters Club (HRSC) NRA approved 80 shot full course High Power Rifle match at the AEDC KD Range (aka Tullahoma) May 1, 2016. Registration is at 8 and shoot at 9. Mark Long is the HRSC Match Director.

NRA High Master and Distinguished Rifleman Allen Uselton came out of shooting retirement to win the match. Allen brought a friend that also did very well for a beginner. There was a good mix if experienced shooters and beginners. There were also several juniors that are making great progress on the big range and benefitting from the learning experience with the beginner clinics and the reduced course matches. The weather was perfect for a day on the range. Larry Barnett gave it a go with his AR with the scope in the new service rifle category. Jason Stivers ran the line and the parents of the Junior shooters were on hand to assist in the conduct of the match and were a big help. Parents make the best supporters of the sport.
