XR100 caliber swap?

Anyone know if it would be possible or practical to change an XR100 in .223 over to a 22BR? I'm assuming that some bolt work or replacment would be in order. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have an XR-100 that was a 223. Mark King opened up the bolt and installed a sako extractor and rebarreled to 6br. His work was second to none.

No matter how you go about it, you need to try that 22BR, and you'll have way more fun that your probably allowed...
Having 2 bolt sizes for one rifle is a plus if you can stand the extra money involved...
It will probably call for a new barrel, the old 223 is pretty long to clean up without setting it way back and getting into thin area's...

Thanks a lot guys for the info/tips. I like the 2 bolt/ switch barrel idea. This ought to turn out to be a real fun little rifle.

Thanks again.
