XP100 Mount

I am having a XP100 rifle built 204 Vartarg. This will be used for calling and varmint shooting. Couple of choices 1, Davidson mount and Kelby rings. 2, Leupold 2 piece weaver style mount and rings. 3, Then there is the weaver mount with the small wedge that fits under the mount in the front of the action, this mount I would want another hole drilled to make is a 4 screw mount.

Either way I want the 4 screw mounted deal. Choice 2 seems the way to go but choice 1 looks so cool. Remember this is going to be a hunting rig and I am tough on my gear.

Not much room on the rear to drill another hole in any XP-100, all I use on my many XP rifles or rear grip's are Weaver style bases from EGW's in Pa..... and I use Burris Signature rings on all of them.....
Open all the screw holes to 8-40 and you'll be fine with just the 3 screws.....

Leupold don't make a weaver type mount for a XP that I know of....
Not enough room on the Weaver mount that uses the spacer in the rear either......

Poacherspet,
Present manufactured Rem XP-100R's & Seven's have two #6-48 base holes on the rear receiver ring after a certain serial #,cant remember what #'s Rem started with)
Rem XR-100 rifles should be drilled/tapped in the same manner.

Ken Farrell scope rails for Rem 40X's,700S/A's,XP-100's & XP-100R's are my choice.

Redfield JR windage adjustable bases do not fit the XP-100's top ejection port profile at the front receiver ring as it is different than a 40X,700S/A,Seven,XP-100R.
