I'll add my name to those sentiments, then add a special thanks to the law enforcement folks here at home who are especially challenged right now after the senseless acts in NYC and Florida this week. Your courage and valor is appreciated, make no mistake thinking it's not.

As a former LEo (retired) I appreciate those officers who get up, kiss kids goodbye and go out on Christmas to respond to the "non-leave-it to Beaver family disputes" that seem to pop up at the holidays. I pray for God's grace on them that they return at night to tuck the little ones in. Thank you for your sacrifice, that we may live in peace.

Thoughts and prayers go out to you all...this time of the year is worst of all. It's a time of gathering of family and friends, calibrations and joys. But know that in all the gatherings you are remembered and loved. God bless and keep you safe. I remember a Christmas or two in the Submarine Silent Service that would have been pretty low if not for my shipmates. Keep them close, they are your family too.
