XL hard case

I’ve looked and the found a couple like the skb case that is over $700 but would like to here what other guys have found for the really long rifles. My 375 is 56” and the normal long cases usually only go to 52”.

I have the same problem here just about half to give up looking. Go buy a sheet of aluminum and strike up the tig and build your own. It is frustrating pay threw the nose either way.

I got a soft case. Really big padding. I really like it. Not for air travel. but to keep my baby safe un damaged I like it. (It has back pack straps)

Are you planning to fly with it? I had bought a huge aluminum one for my snipetac, positive it came out of Idaho. I cannot find the company right now. It was huge, heavy, and a big pain to use.
I never had any intentions of flying with mine, and if I redid it, I'd cut a hole for the end of the barrel to stick through on a Pelican 1750 and throw it in my backseat.

I don’t fly. I want something that I don’t mind being on the bottom of the pile of stuff in the back of the truck.

This is one reason I went with a folding butt stock and a chassis. I am able to use a 52 inch hard case which I am able to fit all rifle accessories, or I can use my Voodoo tactical case. The Voodoo is nice with the back pack style straps. Frees up my hands to carry other items and one less trip from truck to line.

I had thought about adding a folder but that is just one more moving part that I was hoping to avoid. I see Xlr must have updated their design though.

These big guns have all sorts of small, unplanned challenges...

I was worried about the folder at first too. But they are very sturdy, absolutely no movement. Most are adjustable so if they do loosen over time, you need only adjust it to make it solid.

It is a personal thing, some absolutely don't want the folder, others have no issues.

Here is mine in the case. Don't have a pic of the Voodoo but I use the Voodoo 90% of the time. So nice to put it on my back and have my hand free for all the other equipment. Still takes at least two trips from truck to line but I am putting together a range cart to eliminate that issue.

This case is the Cabela's two gun case. It is 52" on the inside if I remember correctly.

I ended up getting an explorer brand case. 60” inside it’s very well built and locks up tight. Carry handles on both end and a large single on the off hinge side. It had wheels as well.

A great company making great products. It's been a long time since I've thought about them . . . like 40 years or so when I almost was hired by them (almost, to my chagrin).
