Ok thanks I have run 25 grains in my bolt gun but that was a 53 grain v maxI use 24.5 grains xterm with 62 grain Sierra soft point boat tail for hog hunting. I’m using it with an 18 inch barrel. Runs 2950.
Ok alway work up thanks good information24.5 behind a 55 gr Nosler BT. LC brass, Remington 7 1/2 primer.
23.5 behind a Nosler 69 gr CC. LC & Rem 7.5 as above. Nosler accuracy load with XT twin 2230.
Work up 69gr load is over max with some sources.
Ok guys all good information.Speer 62 gr fmj 2 nodes... 23 gr and 24.8, Any brass and preferably a small rifle magnum primer. or any AR primer, 2.260" coal
The 24.8 gr load is rather HOT and right at MAX or Near MAX. If your AR cycles smoothly with 24.8 gr X-Terminator then your golden.
Hornady 55 gr fmj w/c.. 2 nodes.. 24.4 gr (very mild load) and 26.1 gr... 2.260" coal any brass (usually comercial which I found no difference than milspec brass) and any small rifle magnum primer, or AR primer.
I prefer the 26.1 gr load with the 55 gr Hornady FMJ because they shoot pretty good and cost very little (around $ 20 per box of 100 in the 2 gunshops in my city).
Accurate 2230 & 2460 are pretty much exactly the same as X-Terminator.
Similar to the loads I’ve ran24.5 behind a 55 gr Nosler BT. LC brass, Remington 7 1/2 primer.
23.5 behind a Nosler 69 gr CC. LC & Rem 7.5 as above. Nosler accuracy load with XT twin 2230.
Work up 69gr load is over max with some sources.
The 69 gr load is a very respectable performer as well.Similar to the loads I’ve ran
The 55BT load with xterminator seems to shoot excellent in everything.
Thanks again guys all good informationA bit lighter than you asked for, but I have found the 50gr Barnes VG to work really well in my 1:9 twist with X-Terminator. So well that the 55gr V-Max have been collecting dust.
