X Caliber AR-15 barrels?

Have 2.
28" Bull, 5R, 1:7, 22 Nosler.
Wait for a 20% off sale. Then wait for about 10 weeks.
100 yards: Red marks didn't make 1MOA. Black arrows are scope adjustments.
All 5 shot groups.

went straight from 100yds, dialed 600 yards:

I have a 28" 1:7 twist 6mm Grendel that shoots 1/2 MOA. Recently tried to purchase the same barrel in 20" they were not willing to provide that chambering. They have moved on to the inferior 6mm ARC. Waiting for my McGowan barrel

My understanding is McGowan, X Caliber, Douglas, Wilson, Criterion all have about the same chance of a dud - is that right? And, if not a dud, they'll all have very close to the same accuracy with a tuned load?

I bought one in 30 cal and had them leave it unchambered. I wanted to use it for an AR build in 30X6.8 that I dreamed up. That way I could shoot 110 gr VMax in a regular AR and not go to the AR10. It is the most accurate AR I have ever owned.

Affirmative. Tinkertoyed a .223 Wylde Criterion for a friend. Could never quite get it down to MOA. It was "barely" acceptable.

Everyones different, but anything over a half moa isnt acceptable...

If I got one of these barrels and it didnt stack em in the same hole and on top of each other Id be pissed. Thats why I ask if they are any good.

My understanding is most barrels from those mfgs will produce groups as good as Krieger, Bartlein [see note below], etc. But, you have a higher chance from those mfgs that a barrel won't shoot as good.

Note: It may be that barrels from the mfgs mentioned might not get to the 0.1 - 0.2 MOA level. I have no experience with groups in that range. For what I do, 1/2 MOA is just fine. Others on the forum would have to weigh in on this.

Shot open sight vintage with a 1903 Mark 1, an MOA @ 100 only happened on a good day.
1X1.5 @ 450 yds (two 5 shot groups) won a small club match.
A few years back I was really happy when I made 1 MOA @ 100 with an AR.
Then as I got better, half MOA.
This spring will be my quarter MOA objective, after windy Feb, March.
I think the X-Caliber barrel will make it. I be more better now :)
