Wyoming 2018 Antelope Hunt

Well the 2018 Wyoming antelope trip was one for the books, literally. I was able to harvest a 82 3/8” buck. My wonderful wife filled her two doe tags with “our” wedding present in 6.5 saum I made for us. And my buddies son Anthony was able to get his first antelope ever with the 6.5. I used the 300 norma improved on mine thinking it was gonna pop up at least a 1/2 mile up the ravine. The whole herd surprised us and popped up at 200 yards. He didn’t stay still for the shot but I managed to keep the bullet behind the shoulder so as to not destroy the option of a shoulder mount. Hes definitely getting put on the wall. Huge shout out to Blake and his family for their amazing hospitality. My wonderful wife and I hit glacier and Yellowstone before the hunt to celebrate our one year anniversary.

Making it a family-affair is the best part in my book. The animals are a bonus. That said, the buck is fantastic Ryan, congratulations!

Nice antelope! I sure do miss the open areas that Wyoming provides!
thank you. It is definitely wide open with plenty of room to stretch the legs on big magnums. Unfortunately we didn't have time to set the steel up over a mile. We had some bad weather roll in and we had to kind of hustle to get the tags filled before it hit.

Very nice buck you landed out here.
Good times with the family and they also got nice results.
thank you. Im not sure if Ill ever buy another buck tag for an antelope after that one lol. Next year we are gonna try and get my wife on a nice buck. Shes a great shot. She's killed them all the way out to 750 yards. This trip was definitely one we will all remember.

Thank you. I knew she was a keeper after our 2nd date and told my mother that shortly thereafter. She told me she loves hunting. First date we went looking for morel mushrooms. 2nd date we shot steel at 800 yards. She shot a smaller group than me off the bipod. Took her to a 600 yd fclass match a month later and she won the whole thing while fireforming my 284 shehane brass in a barrel w 2000 rounds on it lol. Her 2nd relay ever was a 200 with 9 x's or something like that if I recall. She has the biggest heart out of anyone I know. Im definitely very blessed to have married her.
