www.hendersonprecision.com/ Trimmer

I can only find some older post here mentioning this machine. If it works like it’s utube review by Panhandle, I’m getting rid of my Gracey and Giraud and buying one. There web site says they are on back order so someone must be able to tell us if it works as easy as it looks...

I watched the video, and if I didn't have a Giraud and was in the market for such a tool I would consider it if the price point was low enough. With that said, I would never part with my Giraud because it is a complete unit (no need to add a drill to power it) and the consistency is second to none.
I hope this helps,

Lloyd

Lloyd - thanks for the feedback. I think you are right. My biggest problem with the Giraud and the Gracey is trying to adjust it for each new caliber....something that will get better with time...it doesn’t appear there is much response which says a lot....there is another video with a unit combined with a motor like Giraud

The money is not an issue if no adjustments are required on the cutter blade...the video of Panhandle Precision was impressive...

If you have a drill press with a consistent depth stop try the Forrester Power Trimmer with their three way trimmer head. The only drawback is chips falling into the collet, but it's easy to keep an acid brush close to brush away the chips or big a vacuum cleaner nozzle to suck up the chips.

I have one. I set it up with a 3/8th drill works great I will post photo later today.

I buy separate cutter heads for each caliber and adjust depth of cut and lock it down with a split ring lock collar (Hornady). Takes me less than 3 minutes to change calibers/cartridges on my Giraud. I like the fact that the Giraud does not require a case holder that clamps to the base; indexing off the shoulder makes it 'pencil sharpener' fast.

Because of the large number of cartridges I see I have cutters for each caliber like @rardoin and cartridge holders for different cases I work on.
I hope this helps,

Lloyd

As mentioned previously. Especially since money is not the isue. Buy yourself separate cutter heads, and use a proper lock ring to set every case holder once and for all. Have a seaparate one for each chambering and the adjustments are a one time deal. No more fiddling around, quick and easy to change between calibers.

Yup... With a split lock ring on the caseholder I can set the depth of cut in under 5 minutes, lock it down and next time I trim that chambering I can swap out cutter/holder in well under 5 minutes.

They offer a unit that is powered...$739.
Well then it would be a no brainer for me. The Giraud is seldom, ever seen for sale used, which speaks volumes in itself. Secondly, the Giraud is several hundred dollars cheaper.
