WWII Colt 1911 45 ACP value

Hello fellow shooters. I have the opportunity to buy some classic firearms. One of my close friend's father passed away last year. He was a Army vet. He was in the 82nd airborne. He owned a lot of very cool classic firearms. One is a Colt 1911 seriel number 933287. I spoke with Colt and they said it was manufactured in 1943. It actually says United States Property and US Army on the side of it. It's in good shape for its age. It still shoots too. I will post some pics of it tomorrow. I'm curious if any of you older gents have a idea of its value. I don't need an exact value, but a decent ballpark value would help out a lot. I looked online and seen values from $999 up to $7000.

Also he has a 30 Carbine for sell. It's manufactured by General Motors Inland Division. I will post some pics of it tomorrow too. I don't have the seriel number or manufacturers date of it yet.

I still need to do more research on these firearms. I know 100% that these guns are legit. I have known the old man since I was a child and shot all these guns with him. I just feel I will never have a opportunity to buy classic American history like this ever again. I hope you guys can give me some good knowledge of these guns and hopefully a value. The inland carbine is worth from $700-1000 on its best condition. A fair price for the colt would be whatever yall agree on. Id offer $1500. And id offer $500 on the carbine. 2 yrs ago it was worth $1500 but theyre going from 6-800 now.

I have a Colt 1911 built in 1914 that was issued to Gen.Black Jack Pershing.
The pistol was given to me from a great uncle who was Pershing's aide in WWI w/ paperwork for verification/authenticity.
Flap US Holster/belt,2 tone mags,accessory pouch/gauze pack,3bx/20rds 230gr ball ammo.
The pistol has been fired 5 times by Black Jack Pershing.

value is in the mid 5 digit range.

Heres mine. It was a pistol team pistol during the 70's- revived from the bone pile. Got the generals stamps on the other side and all. Its been shot a few times but the bakelite grips are intact

This 1914 built US stamped 1911 has hand checkered walnut grips.
2 tone mags-blued bottom polished in the white top half.
(2 tone issue mags bring $1000.00 + a piece on the open market)
mag release piece is hand made to include the common head keeper w/ tab
Bbl bushing,main spring housing, are hand made

When I say hand made-
I'm seeing tool/file marks in material held under reflected light.
No hacked parts just fine hand fit parts.

Mine was butchered at the armories so much i doubt any of my parts are correct but the last shooter was a bud so its priceless to me and just the way i like it

One of the things to remember on value is it's obviously worth what you agree to pay / sell it for, no more , no less . With collectables value is dependant on originality , are all the parts of original finish AND are they the parts the manufacturer used in producing said gun . In short - originality trumps everything in VALUE in that market . Buyer beware !

I don't know how a value could be set on these. Not being documented or anything.
a awful lot of these were brought home after WW2 and officers bought their own.
A awful lot were made during WW2 We made many right here in our own town and spare parts.

Jerod, some replies are missing the point of your info,

the pistol was carried by your friends father, thus it is original, not armory rebuilt thus, the price goes up, I have had a number of them and they vary is accuracy as the GI state of them is loose to insure function. that aside, I would offer $1300 to start and be willing to go to $1500 as you indicate Colt made it.
