Why no sighters?? Let's have a level playing field..the locals have their marks set, the travelers are shooting in the dark, put a sighter target out at each distance and I'll bring at least 20 shooters.. the sighters makes no difference, because the locals get to use it also, it just levels the playing field..we use them at Mifflin and St. Thomas and Shippensburg, at least the guys feel they have a chance....

well frank, instead of sighters we have a practice day the day before a match for folks to get on target, i know that the conditions change form day to day,and that to us is truly a little more like hunting, instead of relying on what we see in a sighter shot this forces to hone our instincts we normally don't get a sighter shot at a deer, or ground hog, maybe this way will sharpen and hone our skills. and about the locals having the edge well that is true. to a degree we have shot there but this is not an open and public range there our scheduled practice days always the day before the match. i guess that if you really want to come and shoot you will regardless of how the format is setup, really hope that you and your 20 shooters come down always like meeting other folks in the shooting world, take care and keep them in the 10 ring, Gary.

I agree with Frank. The local shooters are dialed in for that range. To ask us to come down the day before and site in can be expensive. With the price of gas and a hotel room it can add up.I wish you luck with your shoot.I still may attend even though you don't allow slighter's. At the shoots we attend with sights we seem to have more fun. You get to shoot your gun alot more. At your shoot there will be 16 shots. With sights we average around 30 to 45 shots depending on the wind.

Can you give us a Web page or additional information on your range and shoot rules and dates.
Thanks

Put the sighters in and I'll bring a nice crew down to support your club..without them, not one will make the trip. NOT everyone has the time and now the expense of making the pre-shoot..it just eliminates the idea that the fields not level..Ever wonder why the same exact people win the other match every single time..I can tell you within three who's going to win each time, they have the range experience and by shooting multiple guns achieve the same thing as the sighters..what's going on with one usually effects the others about the same.. We attach a small sighter target and completely eliminate the any suspicion of any advantage, since it's used in your alotted time, you gotta hustle..and remember it's also used by the locals..it just makes the scores higher most of the time..think about it please..

Hey Guy's, 500 where you shoot and 500 where i shoot is still 500 granted there will be some difference but having made several trips to south fork rifle club I can tell you it that the M.O.A was the same given the conditions being the same you all know as well as I conditions change from day to day there is no place in the world that the conditions stay the same from one shoot to the next we have had 2 ground hog shoots and 5 egg shoots and it was never the same twice.as far as being level it is we all have to dope the wind ourselves and that means no slighter's to dope it with.I hope that this does not offend anyone would still like to meet you all on some day, but as for now this is the way this match wi be maybe we will try it another way some day but the majority for now wants it this way like they say when in Rome do as the Romans do. for now our schedule is every other week end we do not have a web page, but if you would like more information let me know i will post it
