WV Ground hog championship

We will be holding a championship ground hog match Sept 16th this will be limited to the first 100 enteries.it is not to early to make hotel reservations. there will be a 50% pay back determined on the # of Guns in each Class. There will be Factory, and Custom class only.I am enclosing the Rules and A registration form. next regular match will Be June,24th practice on June 23rd From 1pm till 8pm.

2007 WV GROUND HOG CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
SEPTEMBER 16th 2007
ENTRY FEE $ 30.00 PER GUN NO REFUNDS
Limited to the first 100 entries

There will be a Championship ground hog match Sept, 16TH, Little Kanawha Rifle Club on Camp Barb Road, The match will start Precisely At 8:30am We will be shooting 100,300 and 500 yards for score 1 fouling shot and 5shots for 100 yd 5 shots at 300,and 5 shots at 500 yd for score, No sighter’s no coaching. There will be Factory and Custom gun class. Cash prizes awarded on # of guns in each class. Registration must be received by Sept,14th.

No 5o cal,s or Rail guns

Factory – Rifle must have original barrel, stock and action. No modifications or accurizing assisting modifications allowed except recrown stock bedding or trigger work, safety must work. Any power scope is allowed, any handgun may shoot in this class. Rifles must be common mass produced in factory classes, certain rifles will be classed as Unlimited, i.e. Rem 40x, Cooper. Savage F/ FTR Match Director will determine questionable rifles.


Custom - any customized rifle under 20 lbs. Custom barrel, custom stock, custom twist or any accurizing done to the rifle. Any scope and any trigger are allowed. And any rifle determined by the Match Director to be in this class

PRACTICE ALLOWED DAY BEFORE MATCH ONLY! SEPT,15th

RANGE:
There is a 10’x50’ covered firing line with 10 wooden shooting benches.
Shooters may bring their own seat. Front rifle rest and bags,1 or 2) and a nonadjustable rear bag allowed.
No one piece rifle rests,front rest can not be connected to rear rest).
You cannot build a bed out of sand bags. Factory guns may not have anything attached to stocks to fit in rests. No Spotting Scopes or coaching of shooters. An adult will be allowed on the line with a junior shooter for safety purposes. The Match Director will answer equipment questions. Open areas for use of e-z ups and portable tables

MATCH FORMAT:
We will shoot 100, 300 and 500 yards.
Our groundhog target will have a white bull’s eye with scoring rings in the center and printed on light cardboard. Match will start precisely at 8:30am All relays will shoot at the 100-yard target first, 5 shots in 6 minutes, 300 yard target will be shot next, with 5 shots in 6 minutes.
Followed by the 500-yard target, with 5 shots in 6 minutes. You may only take the required ammo to the bench with you. 100 yards 1 fouler plus 5 rounds for score, 300 yards 5 rounds for score, 500 yards 5 rounds for score. NO SIGHTER SHOTS, NO SPOTERS, NO COACHING AT THIS MATCH.
The top 10 finishers of each class will then shoot off for top 5 places for each class you will have 18 minutes to fire 3 rounds at each distance this score will be added to your final score top five finishes will be awarded cash prizes.
PLEASE be on time!! We will fill many relays and start on time.
All winning rifles will be inspected to ensure that they fall within class requirements. Decision of the match director is final and binding.
If you shoot 2 rifles of the same caliber, and in the same class, we will list the rifles as #1 and #2; the scores cannot be combined for awards.

TIES AND CROSSFIRES
Ties will be broken in the reverse order. If unable thru score. Closest to center
Cross Fires will be attempted to be scored, if unable to determine, lowest five shots will be scored. Shooter that fires cross target will get no credit for those shots. We track who crossfire’s on what target. Large numbers are displayed at the target frames. Line officers will instruct shooters to locate their target prior to shooting. Match Director will make final decisions on crossfire’s.
Gary, Todd, and Clark score targets. OR other club member. Challenges may be made immediately upon receiving target. Match director decisions are final and binding SAFETY
absolutely no alcoholic beverages will be permitted on club property. Eye and ear protection is required. Bolts will be removed from your rifle at all times. The range officer will give the command to install your bolt, if you cannot remove your bolt, you must have a safety flag in your chamber. Any semi-auto rifles must have a brass catcher/ deflector.
RANGE OFFICERS appointed day of the match.
PRIZES: Cash Awards, based on # of guns in each class pays 5 places and 50% payback.

FACTORY RIFLE—Any gun that qualifies for Sporter or Varmint in the regular matches.

CUSTOM RIFLE--- Any gun that qualifies for Light or Heavy Unlimited in regular matches. Equipment rules same as monthly matches

All rifles may only be shot once in this match no sharing rifles. You can however shoot more than one gun in any class. Match Limited to the first 100 guns. No registrations accepted until JUNE 10TH

You may sign up for Factory and/or Custom guns, use a separate form for each one.
No registration will be processed until filled out completely and paid for. Changes will be limited and not made on match day, unless emergency!

ALL WINNING GUNS WILL BE INSPECTED TO ENSURE THAT THEY MEET CLASS REQUIREMENTS.

I WILL OBEY ALL RULES OF THE MATCH DIRECTOR. AND HIS DECISIONS WILL BE FINAL
