WTS Savage small shank 7mm-08 stainless lightweight 20"

20" stainless 7mm-08 small shank barrel. Came off a model 16 lightweight Hunter I bought new, likely less than 100rds through it. Has some light idiot marks from chopping the stuck smooth barrel nut off with an angle grinder. $100 shipped.

Yeah, that smooth barrel nut and those tiny bead lock tight can be a pita! Last one I did I used a pipe wrench.

This is tempting so tagged. Is the twist on these still 9.5?

I tried a pipe wrench first but my barrel vise was not sufficient and the whole thing just spun on me (wooden blocks in a bench vise). So out came the angle grinder

I just checked with a cleaning rod, it does appear to be a 9.5" twist.

FYI also have the factory stock for sale as well. This is the lightweight version that does not have any aluminum bedding, but there are steel pillars. $55 shipped.

oof, for future reference you can use a pipe wrench on those smooth nuts if you're not wanting to save it anyway.
