I am not an authority on HS pistols although I do own two. This pistol looks more like my HS Victor. My Citation Trophy has a round barrel n the rear sight is attached to the rear of the frame. I could be mistaken!

This gun has a Bomar rail installed. The receiver is model 106 Supermatic Trophy Military. I have seen some Clark customs like this one. I agree looks like a Victor but also like a Hammerli. Thanks for the comments. This is a really nice gun and has a very nice trigger.

I do not think it is a Victor. Mine is sitting here on my desk as I type. It would be stamped THE VICTOR on the left side of the barrel and 22 LONG RIFLE underneath that. The slide left side is stamped ___HIGH___
and STANDARD underneath HIGH. The line on each side of HIGH is centered on the letters.
Barrels are all 5 1/2" long.

This is a very, very good price on this pistol; imho. I do not have any more room in my handgun cabinet Or I would buy this in a heartbeat.

A couple of quick questions please. Barrel length on the gun and the spare barrel. Can you explain about the "rimfire scope ring slots milled in" 3/8th dovetail or Weaver slots. I just can't see any in the picture.

Thanks
Bob

I also question the hole in the rear of the grip frame. Don’t remember seeing this on one I have owned. Also is this a Hamden or ML frame?

Thanks for the questions. Answers:
See pic of rear sight for a 106 Supermatic Trophy. Hence the hole in the rear of the frame

Some of the posts are inaccurate.
Here is some information for those interested:
This High Standard has a Supermatic Trophy frame made in Hambden Conn. The slide (not original to this frame), is from a Victor as confirmed by the shape. The left grip is original, right grip is not. Both barrels are aftermarket. It did not come in a 6".
Some Victors were stamped "The Victor" on the left side of barrel and others were stamped "Victor" on the left side of the frame. with .22 LONG RIFLE & the symbol of a trigger on the barrel where "The Victor" used to be. The Victor came in a 5 1/2" barrel as well as a 4 1/2" barrel length. It also came with both an aluminum or steel rib with sights. Some sight ribs were vented, some solid. Victors of this era did not have a "bridge sight", the Supermatic Trophy and Supermatic Citation did.
Clark stamped their guns.
Nothing looks like a Hammerli. The frame and barrel are all one piece on a Hammerli 208 making it very ridgid. Most accurate .22 pistol I'v ever shot.
I have owned about 3 dozen High Standards and still have over a dozen. I also currently have 3 Hammerli's in addition to S&W 41, Kart & Clark pistols to draw information from.
Most H.S. target pistols built before 1982 shoot very well... but not all. Unless you've seen it perform, you don't know.
Only posted to be informative. Good luck to OP!

Most custom makers would leave their mark somewhere on the pistol if a custom build. I have a clark ruger so marked and a Giles trophy so marked. This is a very nice pistol it would make a good shooting pistol for someone it is priced right with the extra barrel. The triggers on a hi standard are some of the best out there. Please run only standard velocity ammo in this pistol. GLWS

BUMP thanks for the remarks and valuable inputs. Updates pics and spare barrel is SOLD.

Agreed, the rib would be stamped Bomar if it were one of their ribs.
