WTB rings and bases for tikka

ive posted this in the classifides aswell but thought this forum gets more traffic!

im looking to buy a set of tikka medium height blued rings and bases new or used in good condition.

posting to australia is no issue with rings and ill pay all costs ;D

or if anyone could put me in touch with a reliable retailer that would be fantastic! sinclair, cabelas, and midway dont seem to stock this type

If I may be so bold, I had a Tikka I shot in High Power competition and tried the factory rings originally. I even shimmed the rear ring to a 20 moa slant. It worked but was not very versatile. I found it cheaper and much more user friendly to buy an EGW 20 moa picatinny rail for the Tikka and use weaver type rings. It gave me much greater and easier adjustment for clothing or position differences. Just my opinion.
That being said, if you are bound and determined to use factory rings I have a pair (silver but could be coated - in fact I have some Gun-Kote) you can have if you would like. Send a PM if you want them.

EGW make a nice alloy picatinny rail for the T3 at us $40, and they have a stndard postage rate to Ausi/NZ for us $20, Be at your door within a week.

Then you have many options for weaver style rings

the rifle is a LSA M55 and will only be used for hunting so im trying to keep it as sleek and tidy as possible.

i would deffinatly be looking at something like the EGW if i needed a 20MOA rail.

the optilocks are probably the best option for what i need but they are overpriced in aus :-[

If the rifle is only for hunting, have you considered Burris Tikka-to-Weaver bases? I have them on my T3 Lite stainless/synthetic in 6.5x55 and think they are great. The T3 is drilled and tapped on top of the receiver to accept the North American type of base. The steel bases let you mount the scope further forward and will accept any Weaver style ring. The bases are secured with Torx screws which are solid. Part # 410630. $24.00 in Canada.
