Rblp preferredAny preference on bolt/port configuration? I know of a few Eck sporters not being used any longer in the northeast & could see if they're willing to sell.

Ha. I understand that completely. I actually found an eck sporter recently and I like it a lot. 2500xs action. Very easy on the eyes. Wish I could locate another 2500xs RBLP action. The rifles I mentioned earlier in the year are available but won't be shipped.
One rbrp & a rblp Eck Turbo's.
The reason we won't ship is we adore them & they don't eat much. They're like the rock candy the Indian had on "The Outlaw Josey Wales". It ain't for eatin', its for looking at!! lol
Actions tough. Jim Peightal still makes sporter stocks…..only guy Eck used after Pippen passed away. This is a steep hill to climb. A wide ocean to cross etc etc, pick your metaphor.
I went thru this same search a while back. TKH put me onto a great rifle but I didn’t specify your gunsmith choice.
I wonder why no one puts these rifles up for sale? I can think of some reasons but most of my thoughts would be snarky.
My only suggestion is to have Jeremiah Mohr build a Sporter if you can find an action and a stock. Action may be harder than a stock to procure . Jeremiah is the only gunsmith I know of who actively builds IR Sporter’s.
