I’ve owned both 3 coopers and 4 Dakota’s. I still own 3 of the Dakota’s. None of the coopers. The Dakota’s I own are 20 a Vartarg, 6 BR and a 6 PPC. Hold out for the Dakota’s. They are better than the Coopers by a noticeable margin. But when you see one……..buy it right away. They don’t last long.

I have a Cooper Custom Classic in 218 Bee which is their mid level semi-custom and have owned a Dakota model 10. I'm keeping the Cooper because it is very accurate. The only reason I sold the model 10 was I have no use for a very light weight 25-06 without an ejector. The Dakota was a couple of notches higher in terms of quality fit and finish. The Dakota is a true custom rifle.

The 20 Vartarg on Guns International looks really good. The Varminter in that situation is the duplicate of a Dakota Predator. The gun comes with checkering and a Jewell trigger. Very nice. The used price for the same gun is virtually the same, or very close, to their asking price. Good luck with you search.
