WTB: 22 Hornet brass

Good luck. I have been looking for Hornet brass for several months. Finally started buying Hornaday factory ammo just to get the brass. I can find ammo, but not brass

I just did the same thing. I'm working up a new rifle so I went as cheap as possible (Prvi Partizan ) to get some brass. My buddy has been shooting 22H for decades and he says brass seems to have little effect on accuracy. So we'll see.

I use 35gr V-max in my encore and 40 gr V-max in my rifles. I also use single shot followers to load longer. I use Fed 205 primers, and 13.2 of Lil-Gun. I use the same in 3 different rifles...except for the OAL. I did work up in all 3 rifles...they all like the same charge with the 205's. I did try small pistol primers but the 205 is better IMO in my rifles and encore.

Thanks for sharing. I am trying my best to find some Lil-Gun powder but cant find any local. I hope I can find some from what I have read that is the powder for the hornet. A friend has loaded some h110 and 40 gr berger for me and it has done pretty good.

My experience with LilGun has been totally unpredictable velocity jumps/drops. I am much happier with AA1680. Just FYI

is your Encore barrel from T/C or some ones after market?... I couldn't get my T/C custom shop barrel to shoot the 35's, went to 40's and it turned into a one hole shooter... come to find out T/C uses 1-12 twist for all their 22 cal barrels, hence it wouldn't stabilize the 35's but the 22-250 will shoot 65's very well...
