Wow! I suck...

Ok, NOW you can tackle the little stuff and try to creep up a few points per shoot!

What do you think made up most of the fix?

Follow through was large part of it. I think the action screws was about even with ammo. I think i could further tighten it up with ammo.

I noticed one of my flyers today happened when the scope recoiled into the bill of my hat.

Shooting over my home made wind flags was a big help too.
Wind flags are a must for rimfire. Even a custom build will send a shot out by a 1/2" or more with a small shift. There was a guy here a while back shooting a savage and he was complaining about shots being 1/2" out at 60yds with no flags. He pointed out that he shoots center fire at 1400yds, so there is no way he missed a subtitle switch. Center fire and rimfire are different animals. Im glad things are looking up for you.

If a flyer occurred during this shot, it was probably your grip (hold, purchase, cheek weld, etc...) that allowed this unusual (I’m assuming this was unusual) recoil characteristic.

Glad it’s driving better for you.

The bill of my hat was just not touching the light nob, i felt it bump it and watched the bullet land high. So i assumed it caused it was no wind change. I need to get a damn haircut so i can take the hat off when shooting, buy i hate taking the time to go to the barber.

It's getting cold and I think I might be getting some poor shots from clothing interfering with the free recoil of the stock.

A haircut may well be in order...
I think that bullet was long gone when you felt the scope contact your cap bill.

I read on another forum that if you swap the MK II trigger spring with the Model 12 varmint trigger spring, you get a light trigger with no other modification to the trigger required. I did just that and now have a very safe but light accutrigger. Best three bucks you will ever spend on your MK II.
