Playing with different loads getting ready for Sierra cup ( sling division) next week and had a partial box of old 75 A Max, 8208 powder with Wolf primers in Lapua brass. Thought I would shoot them to recover the brass….. 8X clean.


Try finding 8208, 75 Amax or Wolf primers to recreate this load lol.

(Low right shots are my twitchy trigger finger grabbing the shot. , they went right where I pointed them. )

Nice group! I never blame my trigger finger. I blame Russian Satellite interference.

Those are 100 yard groups?

The 75 Amax was my favorite bullet in 223 but I'm figuring out the ELD. I love 8208 but there are other powders that can give you good groups, and CCI 450 primers have worked well in place of Wolf.

Hasn't the Amax been discontinued, Jeff? I had a case of the Wolf primers,,,,,, sold most of them to Liam when I was selling off my HP gear. Never thought they did anything a 7 1/2 or BR4 wouldn't do. 8208??? Good luck with that...
