2005 l took my New Haven WINCHESTER MODEL 70 COYOTE HV to North Dakota on a prairie dog chuut.
About 10 AM a 'not too wiley coyote' dropped by for a free meal. A 45gr jhp Winchester White Box 223s @3600fps
saw to it he 'Dropped' right quick! A coyote with a ''COYOTE'', is that a FIRST?

The way cars are made these days, a Coon can do a ton of damage just accidentally hitting one. Truck, different story. Seen alot of radiator bottoms taken out by Coons. Make it worth the claim and hit a whole family if them Bastards. Not sure one Coon's is worth it. Coyotes are always worth it. Problem is, you rarely see them dead on the roads till breeding season.

Always regarded yotes as a target of opportunity. See one-shoot one, twice if possible. I saw the aftermath of a herd of sheep after being "entertained" by a pack of coyotes. No matter what I'm hunting, if a coyote shows up-it gets my full attention.

You saw the better scenario!... wait until you ride up to a cow on the ground that was giving birth and the coyotes ate the calf and right on into the the mother,.... calf was dead but not the cow but she was missing about 30lbs of flesh!... and all you have is a rock to bash her brains in to put her out of her misery!.... you will develop a hatred for them as I have and pups grow into adults!.... they all die!
