What a great time indeed. Thank you to everyone who came to shoot the match! I also wanted to send out a BIG THANK YOU to the fine companies and individuals contributors who supported the event and our long range community.

Thanks again and my kindest regards.

What a well run and exciting match the World Open was again this year! It was great to be able to shoot a three target agg in each class this year. Definitely makes things more interesting. An incredibly great job was done in the pits by a Boy Scout troop. They had never done anything like this before to my knowledge, and they kept things running like clockwork. We were threatened with heavy downpours on Sunday and motored through three matches and I believe eight relays and got finished before mother nature had her way. Congratulations to all the winners. There were some incredibly small groups shot. Thank you to all the sponsors that add to this shoot. Thank you Andy, Eric and all the other people behind the scenes that put in a lot of work into running not just this shoot but the whole organization. I always look forward to my trip to Williamsport each year, home of the original 1000 yard Benchrest club. We will hopefully be coming down next year for some more regular season matches.

As a side note, I accomplished another thing on my bucket list in life! I can now say I won a relay for group at Williamsport! Tough thing to do there with so many good sticks!!!38DB670F-80FD-48EC-9376-9C08160AB17E.jpeg

Great shooting Don. Congratulations.

Our pits were actually run by our 3 pit chair personnel, two West Virginia 4H rifle teams, and their chaperones.

Great pit service by first time pullers. Two of those young men got to shoot the match as well! I’ll try to get photos up of them and their targets.
