Working on some freedom

I was working on some freedom yesterday and gave this one a makeover. It was some time to clear my head and reset which I needed with all the stuff going on in the world.

Looks good, at least you have the equipment to work like this and relax and forget the stuff in the world, right now. Crazy out there and will get more so in the next four years with Biden and his (as he said) little brown girl at the helm.

Have you ever bushed a firing pin?

Thanks. I have not done the firing pin bushng I send those out to GreTan he does an excellent job.

I do clean the bolt nose up just so the counterbore clearance is even on the bolt. This one only took .002. I may have to contact carlsbad I have never used him before. I am looking into just doing the bushing myself along with m16 extractors and side bolt release.

If this works out with me getting a 4th axis cnc mill in the next couple of months that is going to open a lot of options along with bolt fluting.

Wild Turkey is my prozac! For those like me who don't have a shop, it is always good to know where to send the parts. Although right now I can't afford the postage let alone the process! Maybe next year. Other than Biden, 2021 has to be better, Right?

I spend my evenings in the shop which probably contributed to my quitting alcohol (except social drinking and I'm not very social). Alcohol and rotating equipment don't mix.

Please do not think I am being rude, but I avoid cutting metal away from surfaces that fit air.
also, from the pristine appearance of the lug abutments, you removed a a measurable amount of metal. Removing this, and a corresponding amount on the back of the lugs just causes other problems down the road.
