Working a press left handed

I gave my son in law a reloading lesson on my Rockchucker yesterday. He's left handed and stands to the right of the press, he did good but seemed akward since I'm used to standing to the left and have a better view of the ram, case and bullet as it goes up. He may end up with this press but I'm wondering what you lefties use or did you teach yourself to reload right handed. Besides a co-ax press and turret is another one better suited for lefties?

Then he would have been a plain right handed person instead of a special left handed person!!

Later Rock Chuckers can have the handle on either side. I have my older Rock Chucker on my left side.

Glad I am at least mixed dominant otherwise my Dillon would be a bear to use.

Exactly what Walt said. I’m a lefty and sit to the left of the press and operate the ram with my right hand. I can easily see everything and use the fine motor skills of my left hand to pick up bullets and place them on the case. I use a Rockchucker.

I’m with Walt. I’m left handed, so the left hand gets used for precision, and the right hand for force. I’ve got two older Rockchuckers, both with the handle on the right, where it belongs for a left handed operator. I’m not sure what you right handed weirdos are supposed to do. ;)

I'm right handed and sit left of my forster and redding presses and use my left hand to feed it. you get used to it. The handle being in the center of the Forster should go either easily

I used my Rockchucker left handed for about 4 mo when I had a broken wrist. Usually use the right hand to move the handle and the left hand to do the finer motor skills stuff. Having to use the left hand for everything really slowed me down but got a broken hip same time as the wrist. PS I shoot right handed but write left handed. Yea daddy just new he had a left handed pitcher, but I called 3rd base home!

Everyone should embrace some off-handed tasks because it advances dexterity. I am right handed but cannot load a pistol mag except by holding it in my right hand and inserting the rounds with my left hand.

I am right handed. I run the ram with my right hand and load bullets and cases with the left, typically. Exception when running pistol loads through the Dillon 550- run the ram with my right hand, load bullets and index with the left hand, load empty cases with the right.

Being left-handed in a right-handed biased world he'll get use to using what's available. I can tell you that left-handed rifle have a very limited resale value so buy right-handed guns and only lefties if you plan to keep em forever.
Heres a few things that suck for lefties...
thumbhole stocks
circular saws
scissors
tinsnips (metal scissors)
desks we had to use in school

Being a SouthPaw I’ve never had problems with my presses. Right hand to run the ram left had for everything else. And Lefty Trigger you are 100%correct especially about them dang school desk back on the day.

One advantage to growing up in Sweden, we did not have those weird desks
