Wooden 250 Savage shipping crate

Being a 250–3000 savage fan for the last 50 years I have collected a number of memorabilia surrounding this cartridge. A friend of mine said he had a present for me. I just couldn’t believe it once I saw it and he said it’s yours. My question is, would anybody know what era this is from? And also what would something like this might be worth, not that I am looking to sell it. Thanks, Don

You might look through some of the old catalogs and see if you can find that #W2503 ammo.

It's only a guess, but I'll opine it's from the late 1950's - early 1960's from what I remember as a young-un.

The number in the lower right corner 1 05 or 1 85 is the packing code.

Not sure about the box and code numbers but, Silver tip ammo came
out around 1939.

My favorite cousin is a 250-3000 fan.
I’m not into them like he is but he has a 250 & a 300 savage both in model 99s.
I would like to surprise him with a 250 box.
