Wood for stock

4 1/2" wide piece of cherry waiting to be made into a stock. I just started cleaning it up after letting it air dry for almost 4 years. Grain looks nice for a piece of cherry. Hoping it will make a nice winter project. If all goes well I have another 4" slab of cherry waiting too. Now I have to start thinking of what to drop in it.

I only built 2 rifles with cherry but really enjoyed working with it. Easy grain to read and rather soft compared to other wood so the project will move right along.

Cherry can check up some so make sure you seal it and the moisture content is good.
