Are the TulAmmo KVB-223 primers the same as the Wolf?

As Far as I can tell, yes. Even within the Wolf SRM runs, I had Silver and Gold colored cups. But the Tula packaging was Identical to the Wolf except for the name on the cardboard.

I recently got 2,000 of the KVB 223M primers from another member as part of a Primer purchase deal . How do they stack up to the others being discussed here , and do they have any "weakness" , as compared to the others ?

I've put them up against CCI, Fed, Rem BR primers and I couldn't find any "weak" spots. They are a bit tougher to seat but that's it. ES's were lower with them also.

Yep..Wolf primers were the best of the best for so many Competition shooters. Glad I still have
some.

I've always tried to avoid both Wolf and Tula. And I have never used them, so go figure. I have always used the best components to reload with as I can, and rarely produce average, I always reload to match grade including the primers. I try to stick with Federal or CCI. This is not to say Wolf or Tula are decent primers.

Wolf/Tula primers have always performed very well for me. They are not always the best for a specific combination, but are more likely than other primers to produce excellent results. I still have ~10k TulAmmo KVB-7, 3800 Wolf KVB-7M and 7500 Wolf KVB-5.56M.
I bet there are numerous stashes of these. When Putin got ornery in 2014, many people saw the handwriting on the wall and bought.

Not really, I'm sitting on ~10000 Federal Gold Match, and a few thousand CCI military...I just want loads to hunt with. I'd like to think I have even 1000 game left in my life, but even that will be exaggerating the situation. Some things you miss out on in life...I guess...
