I've used them one season in competitive shooting. They worked well. I've chronographed loads with them and there wasn't hardly any difference in spread or results on the target vs 3 different other brands that I tested. I did have some failures with the gold colored ones. My friend gave me a 100 ct sleeve and I experienced my first primer failure in 40 years of reloading with those. I bought 25 bricks of the silver colored ones and I haven't had one failure yet with those. I know there was a bad lot of them. Some of the guy's that I shoot with told me that they were instructed to return them to Powder Valley where they bought them. What is everyone's thoughts on the Wolf smr primers ? Go or no good
The ones that were screwing up on me were lot #9-09. The ones that I bought that I've had zero problems with are lot #8-07.Any idea of the lot number ?

They work great as long as you seat them deep. Prone to misfires if not.. Tommy Mc..What is everyone's thoughts on the Wolf smr primers ? Go or no good
Are these really part of the embargo.. I thought I heard they weren't...Doesn't matter soon you won't be able to get them any more due to trade embargos.
I like the Tula SR primers. I have a stock pile that should last me a while.
You know as soon as the lot# was named, a lot of shooters went to their reloading area, including me. Yep, you guessed it. I have 4,000 left of two cases of #9-09 sr-m Wolf labeled primers. Been shooting them in my small primered Lapua Palma brass , 300 Blk.out and 6AR course rifle without a single miss fire. Now that I know they are bad I'll have nothing but trouble. The ones that were screwing up on me were lot #9-09. The ones that I bought that I've had zero problems with are lot #8-07.
