Wolf primer reliability

Of the many of you who use Wolf large rifle primers, how are they from a reliability standpoint? I have been hearing rumors of misfires, etc., wondering if any of it is true (especially since they seem to be available right now).

The only problem I have ever had in either SR-M or LR Wolf primers was in 6.5x47 Lapua brass. The pockets seem to be a little deeper that other SR primer pockets that I deal with. (223, 6ar) Before I solved the problem, I had 3-4 FTF out of 300+ rounds. I did a small modification to my primer seating punch that put more pressure on the edges of the cup and not so much across the surface. The problem then went away. I think I was seating the primers with to much force and breaking the foil inside the cup of the primer. Other than that isolated incident mine have been trouble free in over 15,000.
I hope this helps,
Lloyd

I've been using them for a long time now and never a problem other than wondering how come the SD's and velocity spreads are so low....

I had a few misfires the first time I tried them. But, after I
started seating them firmly with my Lee press I've not had
any more problems. I am using Wolf LR :D "BADLANDS"

ive shot thousands out of .223 and havent had a single problem with them yet. i think most of the issues were with seating depth.

I had problems with the original Russian KVB-7 primers (batch 1-03) when I first started using them but the Wolf branded LR product seems to be better, while the ES/SD numbers are just as good.

If your having delayed ignition the primers have not been bottomed out.......
The anvil needs to be set solid, and with the Wolfs being a bit larger in diameter they need to be set in hard.......
