WOA Customer Service?

I have a 20" SS bull barrel WOA upper that he threaded for a suppressor. I have never been able to get it to group better than 1" groups with any loads including handloads. I am workign with H4895 and TAC and 68 BTHP, 69 SMK, 75 BTHP, and 77 Noslers. Tried different scopes.

I have tried a wide variety of loads. What could cause this? The crown looks fine. I have sent it back to WOA for review a couple of weeks ago but they were fairly defensive. They have told me today that it'll be at least another month before they get to it due to the snow melting and making the range muddy. Everything I load is measured very precise so I know its the upper.

I was expecting this to be a 1/2-3/4 inch at 100 yard gun with presumably a match barrel and me doing my part. This is the latest batch of groups. These are what I would expect out of a chromelined m4 barrel.

There is a lot more to loading for groups than just measuring as precisely as you can.
Is your barrel a 1 in 8 twist or 1 in 7 ?
Are the 2 powders listed all you have tried ?
Have you tested different bullet seating depths ?
Are you shooting from a sand bag or a Bi-Pod and is the bench you are using solid and stable ?
You mentioned trying different scopes. Are they Good as your expectations or are they cheap POS Pakistani no names with red lenses ?
Is your trigger a factory stock ?
What are you aiming at ?

When I look at your target I see a scope that can not resolve the target image as in blurry like out of focus or funky parralax. And an unstable shooting platform as in wooden table with an attached seat that is not properly positioned for most shooters.

Get better targets. http://www.reloadbench.com/pdf/files/TargetswithBlock.pdf

If the range benches are bad, go prone.

Scope must be capable of resolving your expectations and must be properly mounted. Yes you need the risers if you don't have them.

Loading for max velocities may not be the most precise.
69 SMK at mag length 25.3g Varget Rem 7 1/2prime Is a long proven load for 223 at 100yds

I would be handing it to a KNOWN good shooter for testing before I would bother WOA with it. If good shooter shoots 1/2 MOA with his rifle then picks up yours and cant, even after changing out all other variables, then it might be the rifle. Until then, I wouldnt be shipping it back without testing ALL variables first. If its truly your rifle, it will be the first I know of that is a turd and I have been thru a bunch of WOA uppers and T2k bbls.

Test the other variables, then talk to John and crew.

Looking at that target I'd gusse you were useing a Bi-pod, shooting from a wood bench, with no rear bag and a low power scope. Am I close?

I'd say the most relevant question is:

Do you have another AR-15 upper that you can consistently shoot in the stated 1/2-3/4" envelope?
