What is this attachment to the lower arm of the caliper called and where can I find one? I purchased this so long ago I have forgotten where or from whom. That’s what happens when you reach my age! TIA

Appears to be a wide version of a caliper jaw shoe. Other than the common bullet/headspace comparators folks use, the only other caliper jaw shoes I've seen are for getting into narrow grooves.

I have always referred to it as a “shoe”, but searching for caliper “shoe” or accessory is turning up bupkus.
