Winter..... Air Guns

When I was shooting indoors, we shot 10m with aperture sights, bench and off hand using a different target for each. The bench target had 12 bulls, 2 for sighters and 10 for score, the offhand had four bulls, all for score. We shot 1 pellet into each bull from the bench and 5 into each target offhand.

Bench target on top, the second photo is just one bull of the offhand target, I don't have an image of a full target. The last image is the pellet trap I built.

WOW! Can you tell me more about the rifle and pellets used?

Both rifles are FWB 300S's, the rifle that shot the bench target is a L model, my offhand rifle doesn't have a barrel sleeve, so it's a little lighter. The pellets are JSB Diabolo Match 8.02gr.

shoot my Daystate Wolverine indoors at 23 yards in the winter months.

Longbow, your not going to like this but here goes, lol. Testing at10m for me is a waste because, all my underlevers and sidecockers shoot about every puller deadnuts every shot off the bench. Fortunately for me I am 5 min from an indoor range. I shoot mostly from 23 yards but can move to 25 yards, but the norm is 23. I just revisited testing pellets, 23 yards with a D75, FWB 300S, and my TX200. D75 and 300s very close. 300s easier to shoot off the bench but maybe the D75 has an edge occasionally. Pretty much a toss up. If my life depends on one shot or one group it's the TX200 hands down. Part of that maybe I have a lot more shots fired with the TX. The TX is the tougher one to learn but it's my choice. Now, today I took possession of a new one, a Walther LGU that has been extensively tuned with new piston, spring, trigger ....the works. I shot one shot tonight in my gun room just to try the trigger. Wow. Not very many of these around. It looks brand new, but isn't. I have a scope mounted and will check it out tomorrow, many say its the best. Move that ten meter target to 25 yards, you will be able to shoot all dots of tight tens with a good one, every day. Great fun, it WILL teach you bench manners. The FWB is another fine springer. No gadgets, tanks etc need. Your gun and a tin of pellets.

Basement ...50', did the 10 meter to just try it. For offhand 10 meter is about same for 50' with 22 rimfire considering velocity. Been plowing last few days with "Bob" just about 30", thank God I have that Bobcat with a 8' blade chained all around, unstoppable. Feed block out for the deer and feeding the quail, this heavy snow can wipe them out. So no shooting . Have two FWB 124's to rebuild today, parts came in..... guns laid out and waiting. And NO I'm not in the mood to build a snowman...LOL
