Wind meters legal for IBS?

Gearing up for our first local simulated IBS 600 yard match. I was asked if the hand held wind meters were legal to use at the bench in long range IBS. I can not find any info on this.
Thanks,
Alex

Check further down on this thread under: Weight and cal. regs. original posting by clancy. Click-on the IBS rules that dmoran was so nice to post.

Sorry, I should have made myself more clear. I have read the rules and unless I missed it I found no mention of wind meters in the long range rules. To me this would mean they are legal. But, some of shooters seem to believe they are not allowed at the bench during the match. Any one use them in a registered match?
Thanks

Located in section III. Tournament Procedures, page 15 of the IBS rulebook on their website.
"5) The use of electronic wind gauges or similar devices will be only allowed in Heavy
Bench Rifle Competition."
There is such thing as a mechanical wind meter, but I don't see much value to using it or an electronic one as it only tells you what the wind is doing where it is...not downrange.--Mike

Long Range I do not know........but IBS short range tournaments, wearing shorts and lit cigars on the benches are popular.....and LEGAL.....although some should be banned for wearing shorts.

Thanks,
I overlooked that. Alex
