I use a ribbon at the 600 mark cause I'm standing there then I place a home made flag around 50 yards cause that's how far I feel like walking.
The rest is taking notice of my surroundings- slight breeze on my back or leaves on a tree or grass moving slightly, best of all Mirage waves.
Sometimes it works out.. and sometimes it doesn't
