Winchester NATO 5.56 primer?

Found a decent deal on a brick to try. Anyone use these for 300 blackout? I usually use CCI small rifle mag.

#41 primers have a set of Mil-Specs to pass that include temperature as well as sensitivity tolerances to prevent slam fires in autos and semi-autos.

There are some commercial primers that would pass these tests, but not all of them.

The #41 primers are certainly capable of AR15 loads and worth a try on 300 BO. Only a test will say if they are going to do any better than what you have now.

Thanks, loading subs not that concerned with real small groups. Mostly load for a fun plinking load with a can.

Accurate 1680 220 gr Berrys, CCI small rifle mag primers. Like the load but dirty, need something cleaner.

Well, subs are typically pretty sooty but every time I’ve tried to find something “cleaner” it doesn’t turn out. That said, it isn’t a stubborn soot or hard to clean.

I liked the CFEBLK and Lil’Gun but I also liked the 1680.

I'd love to try 100 of these against my new production CCI 41s. The CCIs have been super hot and squirrelly. Popped primers and swipes in loads that don't chrono fast enough to expect pressure issues for 223.

Seem to work fine in 6br pd rifle...no load development yet, but consistent enough for 5 pd's in a row, all over 360 yds...

Good day,

Still waiting for someone to measure the diameter of the primers. Been burned before by Winchester changing the diameter by how they made primers. For comparison, use the old White box primers for any primer type.

Thanks,
DocBII
