I received this rifle several years ago. Prior to that, it was stored for over 50 years inside its hard black case, in a walk-in safe/vault and not used. It is in excellent condition. Serial #621XX b, which matched the number etched on to the bolt.
It comes with a Marble-Goss Receiver Tang Sight #MG-52 and what I believe to be a Lyman front sight with a small can of inserts. The Tang peep sight has an adjustable aperture that works, however the black rubber piece that used to affixed to the exterior of the aperture body has come off from age, but it is also included. The barrel has scope blocks on it, but no scope was included.
It also has a military type leather sling in excellent condition. It also has an OHARE device, silver pot metal I believe to support the front of the stock and two prongs that I assume go into the ground. A small wooden box labelled "Badger Handybox" was also included that holds 50 searate .22 lrs and room for a box of 50 of the same.
The stock's oil finish is immaculate, as is the metal bluing. The chamber, bore and rifling are as new.
The hard, black case also has what appears to be the original wood-handle cleaning rod with a patch-ram.
This rifle makes ragged holes from 50 feet. I have not shot but 20 rounds of Eley Match ammo through it.
Any ideas on who might be interested in this rifle?
